Scholarships

The Santa Rosa Junior College Music Department has a wide variety of scholarships available for both singers and instrumentalists. Chief among these is the Mildred P. Long Endowment, one of the largest monetary gifts in the history of SRJC. These scholarships are open to qualified students through the SRJC Foundation. All scholarships are awarded based on a competitive audition that  takes place in April prior to the upcoming academic year.

Spring 2015 Music Scholarships


Application deadline: Friday, April 3, 2015
Auditions: Friday, April 24, 2015 (beginning at 12:00PM)

 

Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for a Music Department schoalrship, students must:

  1. Maintain full-time status (12 units or more) with a grade point average of 2.25 or higher at SRJC.
  2. Enroll and perform in a major SRJC performance ensemble:

Voice

MUSCP 21ABCD Concert Choir 1- 4

Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion

MUSCP 30ABCD Symphonic Band 1 - 4
MUSCP 32ABCD Jazz Band 1 - 4
MUSCP 42ABCD Jazz Combos Ensemble 1 - 4

Strings

MUSCP 33ABCD Orchestra 1 - 4

Jazz Rhythm Section (Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums)

MUSCP 32ABCD Jazz Band 1 - 4
MUSCP 42ABCD Jazz Combos Ensemble 1 - 4

Classical Guitar, Piano

MUSCP 21ABCD Concert Choir 1 - 4
