Artist Statement

“The dance” is a reoccurring theme in my pictures whether the stage for the encounters is a dance floor, café, underwater, an amusement park, circus arena or a highwire. The figures move in “Redshoes” at a fast-tempo with dashes, twists, curves and rhythmic patterns of light and color.

Teaching Philosophy

As an instructor here at Santa Rosa Junior College, my goal is to introduce approaches and possibilities to art making which provides a means for students to learn and realize skills to discover their own personal expression.
