Entrance Loan Counseling
You must complete the Direct Loan Entrance Counseling online before your loan funds can be sent to the school.
You will need to access the Internet. If you do not have access to the Internet, you may use the computer in the SRJC Financial Aid Office lobby to complete your Entrance Counseling.
Go to the Direct Loan Web site at http://studentloans.gov, under Manage loans, select the green "Sign In" button. Enter your information and your U.S. Department of Education PIN. The PIN is the four digit number that you used to sign your FAFSA. If you have forgotten your PIN, you can request a duplicate PIN at www.pin.ed.gov.
After you have signed on you will see your name near the top of the page. Select "Complete Entrance Counseling" located in the center of the page. Choose Complete Entrance Counseling. Select “I am an Undergraduate”. Choose "California" for the State. Click on Santa Rosa Junior College from the drop down list of schools. Read the questions and select the correct answer.
After you have answered a question a dialog box will open with the correct answer and an explanation, close the box and continue to the next question until you are at the end of the Entrance Counseling. You will see a link to your "Student Borrower Rights and Responsibilities". You must view your Student Borrower Rights and Responsibilities prior to submitting your Entrance Counseling. After you have clicked this link and viewed your Rights and Responsibilities, click the "submit" button. You will receive notification immediately indicating if you passed the Entrance Counseling. If you did not, you will need to repeat the online counseling. If you passed, the SRJC financial aid office will receive notification automatically.
Santa Rosa Junior College is officially accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges
