much information is available in the various web pages and from the various instructional
and service departments. You also have the right to some very specific consumer information.

STATE LICENSING EXAM PASSAGE RATES: Some SRJC programs that involve
state licensing exams have public websites indicating passage rates of these exams,
school by school. Some programs have passage rates, but these are not published on
public websites, so we provide you that information ourselves here.
Associate Degree Nursing program, NCLEX
Pass Rates for California Nursing Schools.
Dental Assisting program is accredited
by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and testing information is available at www.ada.org/101.aspx.
Passage rates are not publicly available, but SRJC student passage rates have been
100% from 2008 to 2011, at both the California and National level.
Dental Hygiene program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and testing information
is available at www.ada.org/101.aspx. Passage
rates are not publicly available, but SRJC student passage rates have been 100% from
2008 to 2011 on the Dental Hygiene National Board exam.
Dietetic Technician program is
accredited by CADE: Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education and information
is available at http://www.eatright.org/CADE.
Students are tested by ACT which administers the registration exam for the credentialing
agency CDR: Commission on Dietetic Registration and information is available at http://www.cdrnet.org/.
SRJC students first took the exam in 2010 and their passage rate was 100%, the 2011
passage rate was also 100%.
Emergency
Medical Technician program testing passage rates
are available at www.emsa.ca.gov/meetings/2011/03-23-11/08A_NRresultsATTACH.pdf and
SRJC is listed under the section of "Coastal Valleys EMS Agency". 2010
passage rates are the most current ones posted online. For the 2011 year, 74% of
SRJC students passed on the first attempt and 81% passed within 3 attempts. For the
2012 year, 81% of SRJC students passed on the first attempt and 84% passed within
3 attempts.
Fire Technology programs: employment
and recertification requirements and information can be found at http://osfm.fire.ca.gov/training/training.php.
Both the State Fire Marshal and the California Specialized Training Institute administer
exams. Fall 2010 SRJC student passage rate was 100% for Fire 200A, Fire 200B, Fire
202A, Fire 202B and Fire 203; Fire 73 passage rate was 99% and Fire 77 passage rate
was 98%. Fall 2011 SRJC student passage rate was 100% for Fire 200A, Fire 200B, Fire
202A, Fire 202B and Fire 203: Fall 2011 Fire 73 passage rate was 100% and Fire 77
passage rate was 95%; Spring 2012 Fire 73 passage rate was 100% and Fire 77 passage
rate was 100%.

Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program
testing information is available at www.ncsbn.org/1721.htm and
SRJC student passage rates were 100% for Skills and 94.5% for Written in 2008, 100%
for Skills and 98.5% for Written in 2009, 98.5% for Skills and 97.5% for Written
in 2010, 100% for Skills and Written in 2011.
Paramedic program and
testing information is available at www.nremt.org but
test results are not on a public site yet. The future public site will be www.emsa.ca.gov/.
Until this information is public, in 2011 90% of SRJC students passed on the first
attempt and 95% passed within 3 attempts; in 2012 94% passed on the first attempt
and 100% passed within 3 attempts.
Pharmacy
Technician program: the Pharmacy Technician Certificate Board Exam is preferred
by some California employers but is not required for licensure by the state of California.
Students who complete the SRJC Pharmacy Technician program may apply directly to
the State for licensure.
Phlebotomy program: Students must
take the National Phlebotomy Certification examination. California does not yet have
a state phlebotomy exam so uses the national exam. In formation is available at http://www.nhanow.com/phlebotomy-technician.aspx and
SRJC students taking this exam passed at a 93% rate in 2009, 100% in 2010 and 100%
in 2011.
Psychiatric Technician program:
SRJC stopped offering this program Fall 2008.
Radiological Technician program
is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology
(JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch
(CDPH-RHB). Passage rates for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
examination for SRJC students has been 95% in 2008, 100% in 2009, 100% in 2010,
and 100% in 2011.
